It happens to all of us. You’re bringing milk to a boil, the phone rings and the next thing you know the milk is burnt and caked onto the bottom of your pot. Scrubbing doesn’t even make a dent in it, but don’t fret! You have to say goodbye to your favorite pot. With just a few simple steps you can have your pot sparkling like new.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. water
  • Stove
  • Wooden spoon
  • Steel wool pad
  • Dish soap
  • Sponge
  1. Step 1

Put the lemon juice and water into the pot.

  2. Step 2

Simmer the mixture on the stove for 10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Remove the pot from the heat and use a wooden spoon to scrape the burnt milk from the bottom. This will require a little elbow grease but it will come off fairly easily.

  4. Step 4

Use a steel wool pad to clean any residual stains.

  5. Step 5

Give the pot a final cleaning with dish soap and a sponge.
