Located right next door to the New York Theater Workshop, this small and elegant Italian restaurant offers you soup, salad, entree, and a glass of wine for under $12. Stick with the white wine. It's far superior to the red.

While not cheap at $35, Payard Patisserie and Bistro has one of the best pre-theater values. From 5:45 to 6:45, the restaurant offers soup or salad and almost any entree along with one of their world-famous desserts. This is a great place to take someone you want to impress or just treat yourself. You'll feel like royalty.

For other choices, check websites like citysearch or do it the old fashioned way. Many places advertise their specials. Stop by a place that catches your eye. You might just find your new favorite restaurant.
