First you will want to perform a field service test, This is done by pressing the heated dry key 6 times and then pressing the start cancel button all within 8 seconds. You will see all lights illuminate except for the heavy wash light, this will blink during the software test. The delay led and high temp wash led will blink if the sensor is at fault

If all software system components check out you will have to do a manual function test. This will diagnose a component malfunction ie drain motor.

A manual function test is performed by pressing heated dry key 5 times followed by the start key all within 8 seconds. The normal wash led will now flash indicating that the manual test is now active.

If this test does not indicate any problem, you will proceed to the component itsef. Usually if the drain motor is at fault the light wash led will flashby the third press of the heated dry button

To test the drain motor, First turn off the power and proceed to access the wiring between the front panel and the inside door cover. Remove the screws that hold the two together. you will set the ohm meter at 20 and test the pins labeled drain and (st 6 ) and dbl line (st 4 ) the meter should read 25 ohms if not the drain motor is at fault

Sometimes the dishwasher's drain problem is that the pipes under the sink are clogged, in which case be ready for a nasty, messy cleanup.
