How to not be Obnoxious in Fantasy Football

It's understandable that if you have Terrell Owens on your team, you might feel the urge to act like the confident wide receiver. However, you have to actually hang out with the people you annoy. It's better to win (or lose) gracefully, especially when it's at something that some people take very seriously – like fantasy football.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Don't brag. Friendly taunting is OK, but weekly or daily email reminders on how great your team is is just not cool.
Step2
Respect your fellow owners. If they have someone you want, make a fair trade offer. Don't throw out a few bad players hoping they're desperate. Nothing says arrogance like offering a ridiculous trade.
Step3
If you're losing, don't collude with another owner. You drafted poorly and you made some bad decisions, that's fine, but don't make things worse by trading your star for a third stringer. This is how friendships end.
Step4
If you're losing, and there's no way you're even making the playoffs, don't give up. Turning in an incomplete roster because you know you won't win is a jerky move. At least give the appearance that you're trying.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most leagues take precautions to prevent collusion, however it still happens.
