How to Shuffle Poker Chips

Intimidation at the poker table is not always about how good you actually are. It reflect how good other players think you are. Poker chip tricks tell your opponents that you spend a lot of time at the table. If you want to impress your friends at the weekly poker game, show up with this simple trick.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
You can start with any number of chips placed in 2 even stacks, side by side on a table. Trying mastering the shuffle with 6 chips and then work your way up.
Step2
Place your thumb on the lower left corner of the left stack and your index finger on the upper left corner. Your middle finger should be in the space between the top 2 stacks. Your ring finger goes on the upper right corner of the right stack, while the pinky is on the lower right corner.
Step3
Use your middle finger to life up BOTH stacks, and lightly push each stack in with the other fingers as you lift.
Step4
When they're in place, relax the tension in your middle finger and gravity will drop them together.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try using two separate colors of chips to shuffle to chart your progress. A successful stack should have alternating colors.
  • Practice, practice, practice – eventually you shouldn't even be pushing the chips together. Lifting the chips up with your fingers is the ultimate goal.
