- A tape or CD player
- Scented candles or incense
- Music you enjoy
- Motivational tapes or CDs by your favorite motivational speaker
Step1
If you normally start your day out with the news--skip it, just for today. You will be amazed at how much better you feel if you don't dwell on the negativity in the world. Start out your day by listing all the things you are grateful for instead. You will be amazed at how long the list is!
Step2
Light incense or a scented candle. It has been scientifically proven that good smells can help us feel better about our lives.
Step3
Take 15 minutes per day to listen to your favorite motivational speaker. The results in your attitude will be phenomenal! The best time to do this is during your daily commute. You will soon find that you are less irritated with other drivers and you arrive at work more peacefully.
Step4
Afterwards, listen to your favorite music. It will calm you and help you to be in a good mood and stay that way.
Step5
If negative thoughts cloud your mind, chase them away by telling yourself "Stop" or "Don't." With practice, you will no longer think them anymore!
