How to Burn an MP3 CD Using iTunes

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    First and foremost, make sure all the songs you plan to use are MP3 files. Songs bought from the iTunes store will not work on MP3 CD's.

  2. Step 2

    Open iTunes and create a playlist of all the MP3's you want on the CD.

  3. Step 3

    Go to the top menu, click Edit > Preferences.

  4. Step 4

    The preferences window will pop-up. Click the "Advanced" tab, the click the "Burning" tab.

  5. Step 5

    Change "Audio CD" to "MP3 CD." Then click "OK."

  6. Step 6

    Make sure you have the a CD in your CD burner and a playlist that will fit on the CD. Most CD's can hold 700mb, which is about 150 songs.

  7. Step 7

    With the playlist open and CD in your burner, click the "Burn MP3 CD" button.

  8. Step 8

    Your CD with burn.

Tips & Warnings
  • Not all CD players can play MP3 CD's, so make sure you have a compatible CD player.

on 12/6/2007 Great step by step it really spells it all out and who would have thought way back when the first cds came out we would end up with one that could easily carry 150 songs at onces. Thanks.
