Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- An Authorized King James Bible. (accept no substitute.)
- Time set aside to Study.
Step1
Realize that even though the Bible is 66 Books ( IT IS ONE BOOK )
The Old Testament book of Leviticus must be studied with the New Testament book of Hebrews. The Old Testament book of Daniel must be studied with the New Testament book of Revelation. The passover of Isaiah chapter 53 can't be understood unless you study the Gospels in the New Testament. ( Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John )
Step2
As you Study the Bible you will realize that THE CENTRAL THEME OF THE BIBLE IS CHRIST. THERE IS NOT ONE MAJOR EVENT IN THE LIFE OF CHRIST THAT IS NOT FORESHADOWED AND SET FORTH IN TYPE AND SYMBOL IN THE BOOKS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT. CHRIST IS THE FULL EMBODIMENT OF EVERYTHING THAT THE OLD TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES PROMISED WOULD COME.
Step3
You will find in the Bible the story of God's earthly people THE JEWS. We also find the story of God's heavenly people. ( The great mystery of THE CHURCH _ The bride of Christ.) made up of believers both Jew and Gentile.
Step4
One of the most important things that we must remember is that the Bible is a spiritual book. The Bible is a book that can only be truly understood by the people that have been born of the Spirit of God. This is explained in the Gospel of John chapter three. ( Jesus talks to a religious man about it.)
Step5
In concluding this START to doing a survey study of your Bible. As Jesus said in John chapter three. "YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN." The FIRST STEP in understanding The Bible is THE NEW BIRTH. Jesus said, " That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. MARVEL NOT THAT I SAY UNTO THEE . . . YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.
