How to Find WiFi Networks on your PDA

You are walking around and don't wish to subscribe to a WiFi network that you bump into at Starbucks or the airport. Here's an application that will help you find a WiFi hotspot you can log on to.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • PDA or Cellphone that runs Windows Mobile
  • WiFiFoFum Software

Step1
Download WiFiFoFum from the following site:

http://www.freewareppc.com/communication/wififofum.shtml
Step2
Install it and launch the application.
Step3
Make sure that WiFi is turned on in your PDA/Cellphone.
Step4
The software should start searching for available signal and their strengths. Let it work its magic.
Step5
Once you find a reliable, and unlocked signal, you can log on to it and connect to the Internet.

Tips & Warnings

  • This can be considered illegal in certain parts of the country, so make sure you can track down the owner of the signal to ask for permission.
