Things You'll Need:
- 32 ounce cup or container
- Fresh water, no tap water
- Lime juice
- Lemon juice
-
Step 1
Lime or Lemon added to a 32 ounce cup with waterOnce you find out you are having twins (or a single baby), you need to begin drinking plenty of fluids. When I say fluids, I do not mean sodas or anything caffinated, no, I mean water. Yes, drink good water, not tap water that is bitter and could contain mercury.
-
Step 2
Before I was pregnant, I never understood the importance of drinking water. That is until I read an article at an online baby website saying how very important water is to Mommy and Baby. Drinking water is very important to you and your baby.
-
Step 3
Because your body is going through so many changes, you need extra liquids to keep up with this very important change in your life, a baby. Not only are you producing extra blood to nourish your growing baby, you also need to keep hydrated to prevent urinary tract infections, constipation, and hemorrhoids, all common during pregnancy.
-
Step 4
My BathroomAfter reading how not drinking water could cause all the above to occur in my ever changing body, I was drinking non- tap water everyday, at least 3-4 times a day. I added lime or lemon to it for taste and I was in the bathroom at least 10 times a day.
-
Step 5
Drinking water is something we tend to take for granted. With your pregnancy, taking it for granted is not something you want to do. You and your baby or babies are of the utmost importance.

on 12/27/2007 You are so right about the importance of staying hydrated! My amniotic fluid was low and the doctors said I needed to "drown" myself with water. Your body needs it when your not pregnant, but it is ESSENTIAL for a healthy pregnancy.
