Some acupuncturists are experimenting with a new no-needles field of holistic medicine. Developed in the 1970's by German naturopath Sam Mandel, colorpuncture uses the same concept as acupuncture. Instead of needles, colored light enters the body through certain points on the skin. Biophysicist Fritz Albert Popp said that the field of photobiology proves humans are beings of light and that light can initiate or stop "cascade like reactions in the cells, and that genetic cellular damage can be virtually repaired within a few hours by faint beams of light." Although scientists are still trying to understand the relationship between light and life, Popp said that the function of the entire metabolism is dependent on light.

  1. Step 1

Unlike acupuncture, there are no needles involved with color puncture and nothing enters the body except color and light. The Colorpoint Institute in Boulder, Colorado, describes color puncture as a vibrational method of treating stress, pain, dysfunction and physical, emotional and mental blocks. The colored light travels to the systems of the body where it is needed to effect vibrational changes on a cellular level.

  2. Step 2

These physical, emotional and mental blocks, or simply energy blocks, form "cysts" in the body, and if they are not released, symptomatic pain and body dysfunction occur. Many of these blocks are caused by societal and family conditioning or trauma. Common symptoms that are relieved by color puncture are chronic pain, headaches, stomachaches and joint pain. Colorpoint Institute stated that the endocrine and lymphatic systems are often easily affected by colorpuncture.

  3. Step 3

Kirlian photography is used for diagnoses and to measure the results of the color puncture. The Colorpoint Institute stated that Kirlian photography enables the practioner to record energy imbalances in the patterns of energy emitted by the patients fingers and toes.

  4. Step 4

There are 6 colors used in color puncture, and each has a different physical, mental and emotional affect. Take the test using the below link to find out which color vibration might be most needed right now.

  5. Step 5

According to the Colorpoint Institute, there is no danger in using color puncture because it does not put anything harmful in the body. It simply stimulates energy that is causing tension, stress and pain so it can be released.

on 3/7/2009 Actually, the German scientist and natural path is Peter Mandel, not Sam Mandel. Also, Esogetics... aka Colorpuncture... uses 10 color light frequencies... and if you include the IR and UV frequencies, it's actually 12.
