Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Always trust your instincts. If it feels wrong, it probably is. All of us have intuitions designed to give us that gut-wrenching feeling when someone or something is not right.
Step2
Look out for drastic changes in his or her behavior. If your husband never frequents bars and all of a sudden wants to go out with his friends each Friday night for a drink, you may want to pay attention. Similarly, if your girlfriend isn't into "girls night out" and suddenly starts planning them on a regular basis, this may be cause for suspicion.
Step3
If your partner takes a majority of telephone calls away from you, this may be an indication that they don't want you eavesdropping on their conversation. Be especially concerned if they seem nervous or step outside for privacy.
Step4
If you notice your partner spending extra time on the computer or working late when this is out of character, pay attention. For most people, relaxing at home with one's significant other is what many of us look forward to. If you find your partner avoiding the time you usually spend together, it could be a sign they are talking to someone else.
Step5
Keep track of spending. If you have joint bank accounts and notice unusual charges, it could be a sign that he or she is spending money on someone else.
Step6
Pay attention to mood swings. For example, if your girlfriend is normally an upbeat or positive person, it is a red flag if she suddenly turns into a repressed, "glass half-empty" lady. Though work-related stress or personal problems may be cause for her behavior, she may be burned out from carrying on two relationships.
Step7
Talk with friends. If your husband and you, for instance, have mutual companions, discuss any issues you may feel are arising. Chances are, if your partner is cheating on you, at least one of your friends will know about it.

on 7/2/2008 I would add that if your husband is using computer a lot you can install a keylogger (All-Spy Keylogger). You will instantly find out who's talking with, what websites is visiting and many more. A free keylogger yuo can find here: http://www.all-spy.com/web_explorer/features.html
