How to Go to the Bathroom in the Woods

Suddenly, on a walk in the woods, your body tells you it's time to, well, empty your bowels... With no bathroom close by, what do you do? Just follow these simple directions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Find a nice large tree or some thick vegetation for cover, and take off one of your socks.

2. Find a rock, and dig a hole in the dirt with it.

3. Do your business and wipe with the sock.

4. Fill in the hole with dirt and place the rock on top of the pile.

Tips & Warnings

• Instead of a sock take a roll of toilet paper with you wherever you go, or at least a big wad of TP for emergencies.
• Don't squat near the entrance to a cave, or any other hole that looks as though it belongs to a wild critter.
