Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce

    Cranberry Thumbprint Cookies

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven 300 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

  2. Step 2

    Cream together butter or margarine, sugar and egg yolk.

  3. Step 3

    Stir in flour.

  4. Step 4

    Form dough into 1-inch balls.

  5. Step 5

    Roll balls into lightly beaten egg white.

  6. Step 6

    Place on cookie sheet about 1-inch apart.

  7. Step 7

    Press down on center of cookie with thumb to make a well.

  8. Step 8

    Bake 15-20 minutes.

  9. Step 9

    Remove from oven and cool on cookie racks.

  10. Step 10

    Fill center with a teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
