How to Make a Striped Friendship Bracelet

  1. Step 1

Chose four different colored strings and cut each string 30 inches long, leaving a 4-inch tail to tie all four stings together.

  2. Step 2

Tape the tail of the strings to a flat surface, and give each string a number (1, 2, 3 and 4).

  3. Step 3

Pick up the first string (1) and wrap it over and then under string 2, making sure you pull string 1 tight, producing a tight knot.

  4. Step 4

Repeat Step 3 using string 1 to make a second knot around string 2.

  5. Step 5

Take string 3 and wrap string 1 over and then under it, pulling the string tight to make a tight knot.

  6. Step 6

Repeat with the last string. Wrap string 1 over string 4 and then under string 4, making sure to pull the string tight.

  7. Step 7

Repeat steps 3-6 altering strings. Keep producing rows of double knots until the bracelet is at the desired length. Tie another tail at the end of the bracelet when finished.

Tips & Warnings
