This recipe makes a very rich cake that everyone will be wanting a recipe for. The cake is moist and full of flavor and tastes great with a hot cup of coffee in the afternoon for a snack, or serve the Banana Cake as fine dessert.

Things You'll Need:

  • 1½ cups butter
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup ripe bananas, mashed
  • 4 tbs. sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 9-by-13-by-2 inch pan
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-by-13-by-2 inch pan.

  2. Step 2

    Cream together butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add eggs and mix well.

  3. Step 3

    Sift flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

  4. Step 4

    Add flour mixture to cream mixture.

  5. Step 5

    Stir in vanilla, bananas, sour cream and nuts.

  6. Step 6

    Pour batter into the greased baking pan.

  7. Step 7

    Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
