Choose a few of your favorite photos from home and make copies. Frame the copies for your desk. The idea is to make your workspace imitate your home.
Step2
Buy a small plant and clear off a spot on your desk for it. The plant will add color and extra oxygen to your workspace.
Step3
Pin up a few postcards of your favorite vacation spots. Be sure to look at them often during the day to give your eyes a chance to relax and take a break from staring at a computer screen.
Step4
Buy a colorful desk lamp. Keep it turned on during the day to offset the harsh overhead lighting.
Step5
Pin up a calendar with photos of something you enjoy, such as cars, dogs or landscapes. Use this calendar only to keep track of personal events you are looking forward to.
Step6
Use a soothing image as your computer's desktop, if it's allowed.
Step7
Swap out your mouse pad for one that is your favorite color.

Don't forget to water your plant. It might be helpful to keep an empty water bottle in your desk.
Be creative. Consider adding small stuffed animals or a colorful garland.
