How to Decorate A Cubicle
An office cubicle provides little in the motivation department if it offers nothing but a drab atmosphere. Decorating a cubicle involves placing pieces of stimulation around the space without overwhelming the area. Decorations should also not distract you from your workload or clutter a desk. With the right embellishments, you can create an environment that energizes the mind without detracting from the surroundings.

1
Place framed family photos on your office desk. Two to three small framed photos provide enough decoration without overcrowding your desk. Large framed pictures overpower and cause distraction.
-
2
Set a small plant such as an African violet on your desk to offer a splash of color to the area. Place a potted plant in the corner of larger cubicles. Use plastic plants if real ones become too much of a hassle to maintain.

3
Pin amusing cartoons or sayings to your cubicle wall. Change them once a month to keep it fresh. Displaying thought-provoking images offers a playful distraction when your brain needs a break. Keep the images or cartoons in a professional vein.

Use brightly colored jars to hold items such as pens, paperclips and rubber bands. The jars add spots of color while keeping your desk organized and free of clutter.

Tips & Warnings
Ask your supervisor what decorations you can use in your cubicle. Certain agencies prefer no personal items or embellishments in the work area.
