As a teacher, you know assigning partners can be a painful process. By using this fair and creative method, you'll be able to avoid the usual drama.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make a large circle out of construction paper. Measure an equal "pie piece" of space for each boy's name and place each boy's name along the outer edge of the circle.

  2. Step 2

Make a smaller circle and measure an equal space for each girl's name, then place each girl's name on the outer edge of the circle.

  3. Step 3

Fasten smaller circle onto the larger circle using a brad pin.

  4. Step 4

Every day, dial the inner circle one name over to assign new partners, assuring a fair and predictable process.

Tips & Warnings
  • After turning the dial, fasten both circles with a large paper clip to avoid slippage and confusion.
  • Keep the partner circle out of the reach of the children so they cannot mess with it.
