Clean a Microwave with Minimal Effort
Clean a Microwave with Minimal Effort

Many people's busiest kitchen appliance is their microwave. Day in and day out, the microwave is always accumulating bits of food such as melted cheese and other tough to clean morsels.

Would you eat off a dirty plate that had bits of food stuck to it? No. Do you look forward to the task of painstakingly scrubbing every nook and cranny of your microwave, without yielding satisfactory results? Of course not.

Allow me to reveal to you the simple step that will allow you to effectively clean your microwave with minimal effort.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lemon Juice
  • Water
  • A microwavable cup or bowl
  1. Step 1

Fill an average sized microwavable cup or bowl halfway with regular tap water. Add a generous splash of lemon juice.

  2. Step 2

Microwave on high for a minute or two, allowing the liquid to boil for a few seconds.

  3. Step 3

Remove and discard liquid, and simply wipe away with a damp dish rag, what was just minutes ago a bunch of tough to remove food bits. See how much easier that was?

Tips & Warnings
  • I find this method to be much more effective and easier than using baking soda or other cleaning products. I would advise against using chemical-based cleaners such as windex.
