Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
When setting a new Years resolution, you will not only want to say it to others to be held accountable but write it down.
Each decision you make to achieve a resolution should be specific, measurable and time bound. the best resolutions are those that you can see results from. So do not be vague.
Step2
Once you have written it down. Write down what you want to achieve this resolution. What are the benefits for you. Don't think about others in this step. Your motivation will come from the personal benefits.
Step3
Next take a realistic look at how you will achieve this goal. What are your strengths, weaknesses, and the opportunities available to you.
The more you know about what you are capable of doing you will know how to start achieving your resolution and if you will need help in certain areas.
Step4
Plan ahead. Know what hurdles and obstacles may come your way and have a plan B, C and D if necessary.
Step5
Know what it will require to achieve your resolution. If money is needed how much, If time is needed how much and etc.
What are the sacrifices your will need to make and how willing are you to make those sacrifices to achieve the desired results.
Invest in you and your results.
Step6
Educate yourself. Know everything you need to know and broaden your horizons. Keep on your toes.
Step7
Gather a group of people that will hold you accountable. List those who share your zeal to achieve resolutions. Join a club/organization if needed.
Step8
Develop a plan and STICK to it. We seem to miss out on the desired results because we second guess our plan. If you have done the homework and studied, rely on that knowledge and do not deviate.
Step9
Set a deadline and begin to do something today to move you closer to the resolution result.
Step10
Celebrate all success. Great and small.
