Have you ever worn your favorite white shirt and always seem to attract stains in one way or another? Here is the cheapest and most efficient way to get out those stubborn blood, drink, and grass stains!

From Quick Guide: Remove Any Stain
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hydrogen Peroxide 3%
  • Old unused toothbrush
  • Tap water
  • Gloves
  1. Step 1

Wash your hands with soap and water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly. Put on the gloves that you have. Non-latex, powder free work the best, but any waterproof glove will do.

  2. Step 2

Take the white garment that you wish to treat to an area with running water. The most desirable area would be either the kitchen sink or the bathroom sink.

  3. Step 3

Place 3-4 tablespoons of peroxide in a small glass container that you will be able to easily dip the toothbrush into. You may use more peroxide if needed.

  4. Step 4

Run the area of the white garment that you wish to treat under tap water. It can be any temperature you desire, but I have found that normal cold works best. Take the toothbrush and dip it into the peroxide and lightly brush the stain. You want to make sure that you do not rub too hard as you will wear away the fibers of the fabric, weakening it and leaving it susceptible to turning into a hole.

  5. Step 5

Repeat step 5 until the stain begins to disappear and rinse with water in between brushing.

  6. Step 6

Place in washer with like colors and wash with your normal detergent.

Tips & Warnings
  • Let the peroxide sit for a few seconds before brushing.
  • If the stain is very stubborn you can mix bleach with the peroxide for better success.
  • Do not have direct contact with skin as it will irritate.
  • Wear protective eye wear to avoid backsplash into eyes.
  • Do not attempt on dark colors as it may fade them.
