Orange chocolate chip cookies are similar to traditional chocolate chip cookies but with an added flavor of orange. Your family and friends will marvel at the taste of these delicious cookie, and they will be asking for this recipe.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. orange oil, or orange extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

    Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lighly grease baking sheets.

  2. Step 2

    Sift together flour, salt and baking soda in a large bowl; set aside

  3. Step 3

    Cream together margarine, sugar and brown sugar in a medium bowl.

  4. Step 4

    Add eggs and orange oil or orange extract to cream mixture; mix well.

  5. Step 5

    Add cream mixture to flour mixture; mix well.

  6. Step 6

    Add chocolate chips and walnuts.

  7. Step 7

    Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto a greased baking sheet.

  8. Step 8

    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool on cooling racks.

on 10/11/2008 The title of your article intrigued me, and the recipe sounds really good. My daughter's school is doing a bake sale fund raiser and we may just have to try this out to give people something other than traditional items to buy :-)
