How to Age Fabrics to Look Vintage

Making white or light color fabric look vintage.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Tea bags

1. Boil the tea bags, six regular size tea bags per gallon of tea.
2. Make a gallon of tea for each two yards of material you want to vintage.
3. Once the tea has cooled put the cloth into it and let it sit. The longer it sits the darker the staining will become. For two yards in one gallon of tea it would be good to let sit for twelve hours for medium staining, up to 24 for maximum.

Tips & Warnings

• Note that the more tea bags per gallon will yield darker tea and that some of the staining will remove if washed.
