fatigue can be caused by many different situations like illness, drugs and medication, high stress and anxiety, poor quality sleep. It is important to recognize the cause of the fatigue so you can become more knowledgeable in managing your life and maintain a healthy state of mind and physical body.

Step1
Avoid being a couch potatoe and eat healthy and exercise. These are some of the ways to overcome fatigue and lethargy. Eat a healthy hearty breakfast to start off the day.
Step2
Don't spend hours being sedentary like watching television all night long. Go to the gym or do activity which requires you to exert yourself physically. Exercising induces the body' s own production of endorphins which are natural chemicals in the body to keep you in a healthy and maintain a sense of well-being.

Break up repetitive tasks into smaller chunks or changing the tasks. Get up from your desk every hour and move around for 5 minutes to give yourself a mental and physical rest form staring at the computer or repeating task.

Get a good night of quality sleep at least seven hours without any disturbance or waking up in the night.

Reduce stress and anxiety which are major contributing factors to fatigue. constant worrying decreases the quality of the sleep and also drains your physical and mental energy.

Try relaxation techniques and exercises like Pilate or yoga. Join a meditation group . Visit the spa and get a massage. These are ways to increase the quality of your mental, physical and emotional life so you can overcome and prevent fatigue.

Depression is also a major factor to making one feel chronic fatigue. When depression becomes a major part of your life and interrupts your daily functioning you should seek medical help as soon as possible. Counseling and therapy can help some people.

Diet and nutrition are factors to consider to avoid fatigue and to give you energy. eat healthy greens, vegetables and fruits. Add supplements and multi vitamins to the diet especially iron and folate acid which will help to prevent fatigue and boost your energy level.

DON"T DRINK ALCOHOL sine it is a depressant and also has sedative properties. It can cause dehydration too. All these symptoms can contribute to fatigue.

Drink plenty of water daily. it is recommended to drink at least seven glasses of water each day to prevent dehydration. Avoid caffeine beverages even since the caffeine can give you the 'rebound effect after the initial 'High" wears off and you will feel very fatigue.

Be careful of medication. Some over the counter medication have sedatives added to them so you should be aware when buying medication in the local drug stores. Sleeping pills can cause next day hang over effect and extreme fatigue.

  • Open your mind to positive thinking, be motivated in your life, and build self esteem and self confidence. All these mental attitudes will make you happier inside and in return you will find your life colorful and energized. This will keep fatigue at bay.
