Once your twins get home from the hospital, it is likely you will not be holding them every second of the day. That being said, your twins will still want to hear the sound of your womb. There are these neat teddy bears at baby stores or stores that carry baby products which have a heartbeat sound in it. All you have to do is turn the knob on and your twins will fall asleep to the sound of mommy's heart. Read on to learn how to let sleeping twins hear mommy's heartbeat.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Two teddy bears with heartbeat or womb sound

Sound of Mommy' s Heartbeat/Womb

Step1
Heartbeat teddy bear sits in one of my twins' cribs. Once your twins come home from the hospital, they will be sleeping in one crib for a while. My twins slept in the same crib for five months together. In these five months, they will want to hear mommy's heartbeat while sleeping or trying to fall asleep.
Step2
Heartbeat teddy bear's leg shows in this photo. Although you can not see the heartbeat teddy bear in this photo, I have two of them velcroed to the top of this crib. These heartbeat teddy bears are, I believe, a great invention for newborn babies who come out of the womb and are missing the sound of mommy's heartbeat.
Step3
Heartbeat teddy bear sits in one of my twins' cribs. These heartbeat teddy bears come with a recording on a heartbeat in a plastic casing inside the teddy bear and have a Velcro strip attached to its back so it can be placed somewhere on the crib out of babies sleeping path.
Step4
Finally, the heartbeat teddy bear can be used well after your twins are no longer newborns or infants. Even today, my twins who are two-years-old, love their heartbeat teddy bear and even know how to take out the plastic casing of the heartbeat sound.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep the heartbeat teddy bear velcroed to each crib
  • The heartbeat teddy bear will go off on it own after a while.
  • Batteries will need to be changed in the heartbeat teddy bear.
  • Your twins will love hearing the heartbeat from their teddy bear.
  • The Heartbeat Teddy Bear can be used way beyond their infant years.
