The Leo is by nature warm, generous and affectionate, but at the same time bossy, impatient and intolerant. Living with a Leo, whether as an office mate, a life partner or a friend can be a challenge. Luckily, by understanding the Leo you can better understand how to deal with her when the going gets tough.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be a good listener (or at least pretend to listen). Leos need recognition for the things that they do well and oftentimes Leos are good at a variety of things. They are outgoing and will go out of their way to help someone else, but if that effort isn't recognized they will often become grumpy.

  2. Step 2

Return the favor. A Leo is generous by nature and expects others to be generous in return. If you are not quite as giving as the Leo, show your generosity in other ways. For example, if your Leo friend is free with lending you money but you cannot return the favor, show that you're willing to give up time to help her get what she needs.

  3. Step 3

Keep things entertaining when hanging out with a Leo as Leos tend to get bored easily. Mix it up with different events and keep it fun.

  4. Step 4

Realize that the Leo is often quite intolerant of other people's shortcomings (even if they are plentiful in their own). If your Leo goes on rants, you can either gently point out that maybe the other person has some reason for being that way or you can listen and suggest that everyone (including the Leo) has faults. The rant will quickly pass and the Leo will likely remember his or her own faults in a short time.

  5. Step 5

Remember that once a Leo starts to rage, the process of calming down has already begun. Leos have hot tempers, but as quick as they are to heat up, they're even quicker to cool down.
