How to Set a Personalized Ringtone on a Blackberry Pearl

If you are someone who enjoys having a different ringtone for each person who calls you, it can be done on your blackberry pearl 8100.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blackberry Pearl 8100
  1. Step 1

    Open your address book on your blackberry pearl.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the name you wish to set the ringtone up for.

  3. Step 3

    Press the menu button

  4. Step 4

    Scroll to the word edit and press in the ball to select

  5. Step 5

    Scroll down to the picture symbol and press in the ball to select the icon for the picture.

  6. Step 6

    Once selected, a menu will appear, scroll to the second choice in the menu which says custom phone tone and press in the ball to select.

  7. Step 7

    Scroll in your menu options them to locate the ringtone you wish to select for that person.

  8. Step 8

    Press in the ball to select the ringtone and save your changes.

  9. Step 9

    Repeat for as many people in your address book you would like to make a custom tone for.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are several programs out that you can go to to create your own ringtone clips so you can hear the part of the song you want without having to pay for each ringtone
  • With the blackberry pearl being an mp3 player as well, any song that you download onto your pearl, either through the web or by your usb cable, can be set as a ringtone.
