We all have those problem areas that are just oily all of the time. No matter how many times we wash we still have a layer of oil on our face. Here are some sure fire ways to get rid of that gunk for 24 hours or more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Milk of Magnesia
  • Witch Hazel
  • cotton balls or rounds
  • nonabrasive face wash such as Biore face wash
  • Biore nose strips

Step1
Start by washing your face with the non abrasive soap. Wet your face with warm water, put a small amount of soap in your palm. Rub your palms together so that it lathers, apply to the face. Rub the soap in a circular motion over your skin paying special attention to the sides of the nose and forehead. Avoid the eyes and mouth. Rinse all of the soap from your face, then wipe your face with a damp washcloth. Pat dry with a towel. Non abrasive means that the soap contains no congealing or scrubbing ingredients, some contain sand or fibers to lift away dead skin.
Step2
Next you need to get out the Milk of Magnesia. Using a cotton ball or cotton round put a liberal amount of the liquid on your face, avoid your eyes, nostrils and mouth. Leave on for 15 minutes then rinse with cool water. The MOM draws out the oils and leaves your skin feeing great.
Step3
Get out your Biore nose strips and follow the directions. When you have removed the nose strip rinse your nose with cool water to get any leftover glue off.
Step4
Finally get your witch hazel out and using a cotton ball apply all over your face avoiding your eyes, and mouth. The witch hazel acts as a toner (sea breaze) but much more gentle.

Tips & Warnings

  • You do not have to scrub your face until it gets red after a few days of this treatment it will change how much oil your skin will put out. The change is not dramatic but it is an improvement.
  • You can use these tips on any part of your body.
  • Do not get any of these products in your eyes or your mouth.
