With so many other priorities on our plate, finding a spare 30 to 60 minutes for exercise seems like a tough task. So how about a multi-task? Here’s how to get some benefits from your favorite evening television show.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Hide the remote and change channels the old-fashioned way-—get up out of the seat and walk to the television set.
Step2
If you still want your MTV (or VH-1 or CMT), dance like no one’s watching when a music video comes on.
Step3
Jog in place or jump rope (if you have the room) during commercial breaks.
Step4
Do leg lifts (inner and outer thigh) and abdominal crunches while watching the news.
Step5
Even better, turn off the TV and go outside!
