How to Make Playoff BBQ Sandwiches

Need a quick and easy meal for the playoff season? This twist on the same old barbeque recipe will satisfy a hungry crowd and earn you praises for its unique texture and flavor. Best of all? The majority of it is made in the crock pot, so you can relax and enjoy the game.

Things You’ll Need:

• 1 pound hamburger
• 1 pound beef (roast meet or steak round)
• 1 can of draft beer (do not use lite or dark beer)
• 1 bottle sweet BBQ sauce
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 medium onion
• salt and pepper
• hamburger buns

1. Cook hamburger meat in frying pan. Cut up onions into small pieces and add to meat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper (approximately ½ teaspoon of each.) Add garlic. Cook until meat is no longer pink. Drain. Set aside.
2. Spray inside of crock pot with nonstick cooking spray. Place beef round at the bottom, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add ½ cup of the barbeque sauce over beef. Pour can of beer over all. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
3. Remove beef round from crock pot and shred on a separate plate using two forks. Beef should fall apart easily.
4. Leave 1 ½ cups of liquid from crock pot and remove any additional liquid you have that exceeds that amount. Place shredded beef, cooked hamburger meat mixture, and remaining bottle of barbeque sauce back in crock pot. Cook on low for one hour.
5. Mix meats together and serve onto buns.
