Fruit smoothies are a super-nutritious way to incorporate fruit and fruit juices into your diet. They taste great and you can always add extra healthy ingredients such as wheat germ and aloe vera gel.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blender
  • 6 to 10 strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 1/2 cup white grape juice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup soy
  1. Step 1

    Put 6 to 10 strawberries into a blender. If using fresh strawberries, wash berries with white vinegar before proceeding.

  2. Step 2

    Add banana.

  3. Step 3

    Pour apple juice and white grape juice into the blender.

  4. Step 4

    Add any other ingredients you like such as soy (1/2 cup), wheat germ (1 tablespoon), plain yogurt (2-3 tablespoons) and pure aloe vera gel (1 to 3 tablespoons).

  5. Step 5

    Cover and blend together thoroughly. Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings
  • Other berries work just as well in combination with/instead of strawberries. Try blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. If using aloe vera gel, make sure you are buying the actual gel and not the lotions. Aloe vera gel is available at General Nutrition Centers.
  • Feel free to use other berries along with or instead of strawberries, such as blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. If using aloe vera gel, make sure you buy pure aloe vera gel (available at General Nutrition Centers).
