How to Carefully Shave Pubic Hair

Carefully Shave Pubic Hair

When people decide to shave their pubic hair, they usually don't think it involves anything more than taking a normal razor and doing it very slowly. In fact, the hair is usually thick and long, and a slight mistake could lead to a big pain. For starters, never use an electric razor, or any disposable razor you have used on any other part of the body. You also need to shave at least 30 minutes after you wake. That will give the fluids that gather under the skin while you sleep time to regress so the hair shaft is easier to reach. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Clean disposable razor
  • Shaving cream or gel
  • Clean pair of scissors
  • Towel
  • Tub/shower
  • Mositurizering cream

Instructions

    • 1

Cut as much of the hair as possible off with the scissors.

    • 2

Step into a shower or bath for a few minutes. Run hot water over the pubic area. This will help ease the rest of the shaving process and may prevent pimples and skin irritations. Dry the area completely afterwards and wait a few minutes before applying the shaving cream.

    • 3

Apply a generous amount of shaving cream to the entire area and let it sit for a few minutes. Pull the skin tight with your free hand, then move a safety razor slowly across the area. The hair should come off with the cream without much pressure. Shave upward in the counter-direction of the pubic hair. If you have experienced razor burn on your face or legs, you may need to shave in the direction of the hair growth.

    • 4

Add more shaving cream as necessary. Repeat the process until you are satisfied.

    • 5

Wash the area again with warm water, then apply moisturizer with aloe vera or a soft baby oil to the entire area to help prevent irritation.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use shaving cream designed for women, even if you are a male. It's milder than any shaving cream designed for male beards and lacks the perfume in those creams.

  • Do not use a male aftershave on the pubic area.
