How to Make Blonde Brownies

Blonde Brownies are golden brown cookie bars with a great butterscotch flavor. Blonde brownies have the same great texture as regular brownies but are made without the chocolate. Blonde brownies make a great snack with a hot cup of tea or an ice cold glass of milk.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Step1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
Step2
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
Step3
Stir brown sugar into melted butter or margarine; add eggs and vanilla. Stir unitl well blended.
Step4
Add dry ingredients to mixture; mix well.
Step5
Stir in pecans.
Step6
Spread into greased baking pan.
Step7
Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Cut brownies into bars while still warm.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not overcook brownies or they will become dry.
