Does the change in seasons bring you down? Does the lack of sunshine make you blue? Ready to hibernate till spring? These tips will help you beat those winter blues.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Let The Sun In!!! The season increase in darkness can have a negative effect on your mood. To decrease this effect open the blinds and windows when you get up in the morning.
Step2
Go for a walk. In addition to the exposure to the sun you will burn calories and reduce stress.
Step3
Replace your regular lamps with natural sun lamps. These lamps mimic natural sunlight.
Step4
Take a trip to the tanning bed. Again, it's the light that benefits you.
Step5
Learn something new. Take a class. Start a new hobby. Join a sports team. New activities will encourage your brain to work in new ways.
Step6
Wake up early and watch the sun rise. Seeing a new day start is refreshing.
Step7
Socialize. Not the most fun activity when you are feeling blue but it will help lift your spirits.

  • If you experience a long period of the blues, feeling down or depression you may need to seek professional help.
