Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
The single most important thing that you can do is to write out a schedule that maps out time with your children alone. Twins adore each other, but they still have to have special time with Mommy and Daddy alone. A schedule is the first step in ensuring that you will spend equal alone time with each twin.
Step2
Post the schedule in a very clear way wherever you lay your keys when you come home. Any place that you are certain to see it and be reminded will do, but make sure you cannot miss it. Another great place is on the refrigerator.
Step3
Make sure that you update the schedule as you fulfill it. A schedule that is not marked is not worth the paper it is written on. Mark it religiously.
Step4
Tell your twins about the schedule and be sure that they know what is coming up. If you are taking one of them to the park on Friday, then tell her about it and let her know you are excited too. Let her know it is special time for just the two of you.
Step5
Take down the schedule at the end of each week and see how you did. If you come up short on any of the tasks, then make up for it when you write the next week. There is nothing wrong with ensuring equality and helping to organize your life.
