This is how to make the best darn chicken you've ever tasted!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • To feed a family of 4 and have leftovers for lunch the next day, you will need:
  • 1 4 lb bag of frozen chicken tenderloins
  • 1 bag of Ranch potato chips crushed w/pieces
  • 1 bag of Sour Cream & Cheddar potato chips crushed w/pieces
  • 1 box (2 packs) Regular Chicken Shake N’ Bake
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 Tablespoon each of Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Creole Seasoning, Parsley Flakes
  • 3-4 eggs
  • Frying Pan or Deep Fryer
  • Cooking oil (Canola is low saturated fat, and works great)

How to Make Jamin' Fried Chicken

  1. Step 1

Crunch chips, combine Shake N’ Bake, Chips, flour, & spices. Place 1/2 of the mixture in separate bowl.

  2. Step 2

Dip defrosted chicken in egg, and then roll firmly into chip mixture. Add additional chip mixture as necessary for coating the remaining chicken. Make sure mixture is pressed into chicken so it is secure during cooking.

  3. Step 3

You may cook the chicken 3 ways…
    a. Canola or vegetable oil for deep frying until golden brown at 400 degrees
    b. Canola or vegetable oil for skillet frying until golden brown
    c. Cooking spray for baking @ 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes

  4. Step 4

    Recommended side dishes

    Buttery Layer Biscuits
Twice-baked mashed potatoes (mix everything you love on your baked potato…put in a casserole dish, sprinkle any extra ruffles on top w/cheese…bake…delicious!!)
    Sweet Corn
    Hot Buttered Carrots

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure chicken is thawed prior to dipping & frying. Yhe outside will be done, but the inside could be pink.
  • Be sure to press the chip mixture into the chicken so it sticks well during frying.
  • When frying, use a fork (minimal touching) to flip the chicken.
  • Wait at least 7 minutes before flipping chicken the first time.
  • Always be careful when frying foods. Grease is hot and dangerous.
  • This recipe is addictive to your friends. You might end up having "extra family" on Jamin' Fried Chicken Night!
