Dirt and oils from your hands can cause your grips to deteriorate. Hardened and cracked grips can hurt your game. If you clean them regularly, you won't have to replace them quite as often.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Scrub brush
  • Clean soft rag
  • Mild degreaser such as dish soap

Step1
Mix a few drops of a mild dish soap with a gallon of warm water.
Step2
Put the scrub brush into the soapy water and work the bristles into the pores of your grips being careful not to scrub too hard.
Step3
Take a soft cloth and dip it into the soap solution. Thoroughly wipe down the grips from top to bottom.
Step4
Rinse your grips under clean warm running water. Be careful not to get the shaft of the club wet.
Step5
Thoroughly dry the grips with a clean and soft dry cloth. Dry the shaft if you have gotten any water on it.
