Things You'll Need:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
- Salt and white pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped herbs like fresh rosemary, sage, thyme, tarragon or parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Medium bowl
- Wooden spoon
- Small ramekins (optional)
- Wax paper (optional)

Step 1
Place softened butter in the bowl and stir with the spoon until it is creamy.

Step 2
Mix in herbs and lemon juice.

Step 3
Salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4
Use immediately while still soft by packing into small ramekins and leveling the top. Or roll the butter into a cylinder using the wax paper. Refrigerate for one to two hours and slice into thin rounds.
