Mint of any variety can be very invasive; some consider it a weed. In fact mint can be used in many ways and is wonderful to have in any garden. Mint has been around for a long time, and that is due partly to its ability to spread easily. Mint can take over a garden in no time, so try these suggestions to keep it in bounds.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hanging pot
  • Large planter
  • Barrier such as metal or wood
  • Lawn mower
  • Hand pruners
  1. Step 1

Grow in a hanging pot to make a great showpiece at an entrance.

  2. Step 2

Place mint in a large planter to keep it from spreading so easily.

  3. Step 3

Add a barrier in the ground around the mint plant to a depth of at least 12 inches.

  4. Step 4

Run the lawn mower over aggressive mints to help keep them in a smaller area.
