Know if You are Lactose Intolerant

Not sure if you're lactose intolerant? Think that dairy products upset your stomach? Here is How To decide scientifically if you are.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two identical containers for milk: one labeled A and the other B
  • Regular milk, one week's worth
  • Lactose free milk, one week's worth
  • Someone to fill the containers for you
  • Two weeks for the test
  1. Step 1

    Have Someone Fill Each Container
Your friend should fill one container with regular milk and the other container with lactose-free milk. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

  2. Step 2

    Week 1
Drink 2 cups a day from container A on an empty stomach. Avoid all other dairy including cheese.

  3. Step 3

    Week 2
Do the same as week 1 but with the other container.

  4. Step 4

    Compare the Two Weeks
How did you feel during each week? Did you observe any difference in your intestines, bloating, gas or cramps? Have your friend identify the regular milk container. If you felt no difference, you're probably not lactose intolerant. Time to hit the cheese.
