How to Create a WordPress Blog
WordPress offers a simple and efficient solution to create a blog, and you don't need to know fancy HTML or tech-terminology to launch your very own blog on the web. A WordPress blog makes it easy to publish and manage your images, traffic and install widgets for better site management. Here's how to create your own WordPress blog and save your first entry.

Choose a name for your blog. You'll want something that defines the blog, and can get picked up by the search engines easily.

Log onto WordPress.com

Click on the "Sign Up" link at the top-right corner.

Choose your login name. This will be your username to set up your account. You'll need to enter your email address, and review the terms and conditions before proceeding.

Click "Gimme a blog!" to accept.

Enter the title for your blog. Then select the primary language your blog will be written in.

Decide if you want the blog to show up on search engine listings, and check the box accordingly. Click "Signup" when finished.

Check your email inbox for a confirmation. This will include an activation link that will authorize your account and make your blog active. You'll need to click on this link to confirm your account.

Update your profile. You can access this page after confirming your account through the email link. You can also change your password here if you need to.

Write your first post. Use the navigation bar at the top of the page to learn which areas of the blog you can work on and control. You can write your first post by clicking on the "Write" tab in top left of the screen.

Tips & Warnings
Always push save on any post you are working on; although WordPress does save automatically, it's better to save more often than not.
Manage posts by using the "Manage" tab on the top left of the screen.
Download and install widgets to add features to your dashboard and overall blog layout.
Visit the WordPress.com blog for updates, articles and information about new releases.
Don't push publish until you want the post to go "live." Clicking "Save" will put your post in inventory until it's ready to be seen.
