1. Prepare Your Fax: First, you need the information that you want to fax to actually be on your computer. Most free fax services only support text, which means that you'll need to have words typed up in a document that you can copy-paste. Some will allow you to attach images scanned to your computer, but most of them requre you to pay. Either way, get your information on your computer and prepare a cover sheet. Place all the information in a folder so that you can grab everything easily.
2. Become a member or use it free without an account. Get an Account ... or Not: FreeFax is one of the most reliable faxing websites available, and it's always free. To get an account, visit their home page and click the "Join" button. Don't feel like becoming a member? You don't have to. This step is optional, and gives you some extra benefits like being able to receive faxes to your email.
3. Start the Fax: Whether you decided to become a member or not, your next step is to click the "fax NOW" button. This takes you to a page that allows you to enter all your information.
