Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  • Geneaology Websites/Books
  • Baby Name Websites/Books
  1. Step 1

Is your child straight from the heavens? Choose Bohdana (from God), Oksana (Glory be to God) or Vanya (gracious God's gift)for a girl. Misha (godlike), Mikhail (who is like God) or Gavrie (man of God) and Ilya (my God is Jehovah) are some options for a boy.

  2. Step 2

Will your child protect his or her fellow man? How about Alek (defender of mankind), Borya (fighter) for a boy or Aleksandra, meaning defender of mankind, for a girl?

  3. Step 3

If you're an animal lover, consider naming a boy: Ony (eagle), Lenya (lion) or Filip (loves horses).

  4. Step 4

Will your baby girl be born on a special day? There are many Russian names for your child's birthday. If your daughter is born on a Sunday, choose Dominika. Parishie (born on Good Friday) and Tashi or Natasha (born at Christmas) are just two names for holidays.

  5. Step 5

Having a child can bring chaos and serenity into your life as the same time. To encourage more of the latter, why not opt for Irina (peace) for a girl or Dema (calm) for a boy?
