It's nice when co-workers can gather together and celebrate the holidays. It gives them a chance to unwind, socialize and to decompress. Yet, holidays take more than work and planning. They take money. If you want to plan a Christmas office party and you are working with a budget, here are a few steps that may help you accomplish your goal to a successful party.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • People to help
  • Food
  • Decorations
  • Gifts (optional)
  1. Step 1

See if you can gather a group of people who can help you with the party and the planning of the party.

  2. Step 2

Plan the date for the party and where the party is to be held (this could just mean deciding on a room to hold it in). To do this, make sure the whole group has a say. You may want to vote on the date. Most office parties are held on the finally day of work before the holidays.

  3. Step 3

Discuss the gift giving idea. Should gifts be passed out among the co-workers? Should their be a drawing of names. A drawing of names would mean that each coworker would only have to buy one gift.

  4. Step 4

Decide on the food and drink menu. You can keep things simple and stick with a basic menu of sandwiches and chips. You could also do a buffet style menu and have everyone bring a dish. Don't forget to bring dishes, silverware, glasses and drinks as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take notes and make lists as you plan.
  • Not everyone may like the idea of helping you plan a party.
