Hosting a dinner with meat as the main course? Tired of using cranberry sauce as the side? Use this quick recipe for mango chutney to add a tangy-sweet kick to your next meal.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 raw green mangoes (chopped)
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp. coriander seeds
  • 2 red chilies (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp. fresh mint or cilantro (coriander) leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • Salt
  1. Step 1

    Heat the oil in a frying pan.

  2. Step 2

    Roast the cumin, coriander seeds and chilies for a few minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Remove and place in a blender with mangoes, salt, mint and/or cilantro, and about a tbsp. of water.

  4. Step 4

    Grind to a smooth paste and place in refrigerator to cool.

Tips & Warnings
  • Yields 6 to 8 servings
