1. This begins with the pregnancy. Carrying twins is no small task, and your support during this time will be indicative to your wife of how much help you will be later when they come home. Rub her belly, get her bath drawn, go to the store at three in the morning, hold her hair for morning sickness, and generally do anything she needs to have a smooth pregnancy.
2. Decide that you will be the rock in the situation. It is your job as a husband to be strong when things are going rough. When the twins are screaming in tandem, take the initiative to calm them. You will be amazed at what this does for you as well.
3. Sit down with your wife, and ask her what would help her the most on a given day. They are going to be exhausted, and any offer of help will be met with overwhelming appreciation. Give her a day off now and then. On Saturdays for example, let her step away for a bit.
4. Take hold of the chance to be there for your twins from day one. The feeling of bonding with your little ones will pay huge dividends emotionally for you and the kids. You do not want to be detached from your kids in this day and age, and this is the time to form those bonds.
