When Jack Frost makes his appearance, it can be easy to become a couch potato to avoid the cold. That's okay sometimes, but here are some other things you can do for fun when it's cold outside.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Go Ice Skating. Check for local skating rinks, outdoor or indoor. Dress warm!
Step2
Go Sledding! A great way to get some excercise while having fun watching your friend, brother, sister..whatever...get white washed as they fly down the hill.
Step3
Build a snow cave, Ice Fort, Igloo...whatever you want to call it!

if you get too lazy to finish it, just make two snow walls at least 10-15 feet away from eachother. Use them as protection for a SNOWBALL FIGHT!
Step4
Make a Snow Angel!
Step5
www.companyscoming.com After spending some time freezing outside, watch movies and drink hot cocoa!
Spice up your regular Hot Chocolate. Add a mini candy cane to your mug for peppermint hot chocolate!

Watch holiday movies like :
The Santa Clause
The Family Man
A Christmas Story
Miracle on 34th Street
Jingle All The Way
The Grinch
Step6
Play games. Board games or card games.
Monopoly
Battleships
Scene It
Cranium
Catch Phrase
Clue....
Step7
Rent snomobiles for a day and either sign up as a group with an experienced instructor who will take you on easy trails. Or rent and go where you decide!
Step8
www.pdcspas.com Soak in the Hot Tub! This is something that is wonderful to do alone, with a partner, your family and your friends. Who doesn't love an outdoor hot tub in the winter???
If no one you know has a hot tub, look into a hot tub rental and have everyone pitch in!
Step9
Build a snowman.

Start with a small compacted ball of snow and roll until you get a base the size you would like. Make a second ball of snow slightly smaller than the first. Put that on top of base. Roll the smallest ball of snow for the head and place on top of midsection. Add a face with rocks, leaves, sticks, a carrot nose....
Step10
www.funskivacations.com Try Snowshoeing. This is a great way to walk in areas you wouldn't be able to go because the snow is too deep. Great for a hike, walk, workout and adventure in your winter wonderland!
Step11
www.traveliowa.com Cross Country Ski. Another great outdoor activity that will get your heart rate up and aid you in enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Step12
Hit the Slopes! if you ski or snowboard, then this is your season!
Try to buy a season pass on discount...ussually in the off season.
Step13
