Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Begin by stretching your muscles until you feel nice and limber.
Step2
When attempting a handstand, never find yourself in any position that a utility knife couldn't be in. That means your whole body should be straight - no bent arms or legs, and try to keep your head between your arms.
Step3
Start slow. Practice standing on one leg while the rest of your body, in one straight line, bends down to the floor. Once you accomplish this, start to gently push off the ground with your standing leg so that you get a few inches of lift before landing on the ground again.
Step4
Keep practicing this simple move, slowly going up higher as you start to feel more comfortable. Add more power, not more speed. The handstand should always be a controlled motion. Once you perfect the handstand, make sure your legs are straight and your toes are pointed.
