How to Mix a Perfect Martini

The martini is a cocktail of elegance, distinction and exquisite taste. That is why it should only be made with vodka, vermouth, olives and ice. This technique ensures a quality beverage for every occasion.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Top shelf vodka
  • Ice in large cubes
  • Cocktail olives
  • Toothpicks
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Chilled martini glass
  • Dry vermouth
  1. Step 1

    Pour 4 ounces of vodka and ½ ounce of vermouth into shaker.

  2. Step 2

    Add 4 ice cubes.

  3. Step 3

    Cap shaker and shake contents vigorously up and down and side to side for thirty seconds.

  4. Step 4

    Pour strained liquid into chilled martini glass.

  5. Step 5

    Spear three olives onto one end of toothpick and place in drink.

  6. Step 6

    Serve with pride.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure ice crystals form on surface of drink.
  • Enjoy with an air of self-importance.
  • Never drink fewer than two or more than four.

on 12/5/2007 I believe Churchill said that martinis are like a womans breast, to wit, one is not enough and three is too many. Also, I think the perfect martini is made with gin. Boodles.
