If you are hosting a baby shower, one of your baby shower duties will be to have a memorable baby shower centerpiece on the table. It does not matter whether the baby shower is small and very informal; having a baby shower centerpiece is genuinely expected. Read on to learn how to choose one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Think about the theme of the baby shower. If there is no specific theme, think about the colors of the baby shower decorations. The centerpiece that you choose should tie in with the theme of the baby shower or its colors.

  2. Step 2

If you are considering a baby shower centerpiece that is all flowers, ask to take a look at a florist’s portfolio. If you do not see anything in the portfolio that matches the baby shower’s theme or colors, ask the florist to design a unique baby shower centerpiece for you. Florists are very eager to please and it gives them one more picture to add to their portfolios.

  3. Step 3

If you would like to go the extra mile, you can do a totally unique baby shower centerpiece with food and flowers. You may want to consider having a tower of edible blocks that are made out of cake with flowers tucked into the top. If you would like to do something with food and flowers and you do not know where to start, contact a baker.

  4. Step 4

If you decide to not opt for food or flower baby shower centerpieces, consider having a gift basket for the mother-to-be that is packed full of useful baby items that she will need. Make sure the basket’s texture and color matches the baby shower's theme or colors.

  5. Step 5

If you want to do something different than a flower, food or gift basket centerpiece, consider a diaper cake centerpiece. The diapers can be either disposable or cloth. Bind them together to make a tiered cake and decorate the tiers with small baby gifts.
